Sonic Art EVOLUTION AC Cable

The Sonic Art EVOLUTION AC cable was designed to compliment our Mains Filter and provide a high current high conductivity source of power for all mains powered electronics.

The cable features heavy Silver alloy conductors with 40 microns of Silver over a copper core using our 6N MILSPEC metallurgy. Each strand is individually constructed in this alloy before being combined into a perfectly round 2mm-multi-strand conductor.

PTFE Teflon is used to insulate each conductor as it exhibits the lowest dielectric loss besides air, we use pressure cast Teflon as although it is the most expensive Teflon, it allows very low wall thickness for a rated voltage.

We now have production of the new EVOLUTION power cable; this cable has replaced both the old hand laid models and features all the original design strengths of the original cable with the addition of machine braiding, heavy 100% coverage MILSPEC copper shielding, and MILSPEC Rubberized outer jacket.

The new cable features a floating shield which helps to shield the power cable from delicate line level cables. Our IEC socket is custom made with 20 micron silver plating straight over our machine brass base, then a 5 micron gold topcoat, a high quality plug at an affordable price.

Nominal length is 1.5 metres. Other sizes can be ordered.

HUBBELL 5965 for all USA based power systems.

DURAPLUG for all UK based power systems

The Sonic Art EVOLUTION AC cable improves bandwidth, imaging and staging when used in your system. Improvements are magnified as the power requirement of individual components rises. Amplifiers especially can show the biggest improvements due to the large current capability and good matching of the AC cable. Hand made in Australia from US MILSPEC materials.
