ELECTRO HARMONIX 6SN7EH
The
6SN7EH is a beautiful sounding tube, on par with RCA’s red base 5692. It
maintains a linear response while being able to accept a full voltage. Vintage
amp users and audiophiles will be thrilled to find that a superior quality,
ultra low noise replacement finally exists.
We
test these tubes in the gain stage of a Schiit FREYA
preamp, run for 24hrs and then listened to, if the tubes exhibit noise or
imbalance we send them back. While you may experience some microphonics in any
tube, we have found the EH tubes are pretty quiet with minimal to no microphonics and they sound very nice in the Schiit amps.
