SONIC ART DC100 MOTOR PODS

Many turntables have their motors mounted in pods, or cases on the chassis (Oracle Delphi) and it can be difficult for the user to mount the Origin Live DC100 motor, often the original pod needs to remain unmodified or its not possible to remove the factory parts in order to install the DC100 motor.

At Sonic Art we can custom machine a motor pod and install the DC100 motor for you, to your specifications or as an accurate copy of your existing pod dimensions.

Our standard price is for a pod up to 150mm in height and 80mm in diameter. The price includes mounting the DC100 motor in sorbethane strips and casing it in a custom delrin sleeve machined from solid delrin bar.

Our motor pods are 2 piece designs, they bolt together and have soft foam rubber pads on the base. The finish is brushed alloy and the pods look quite professional when installed.

We can also make custom housings to hold the DC100 motor into turntables like the Oracle Delphi Mk1/2, replacing the old plastic/metal housing with a machined alloy housing that will fit into the existing hole in your TT base plate.
