ORACLE DELPHI MK1/2 MOTOR DRIVE UPGRADE

The Delphi Mk1 turntable had a papst synchronous motor drive with a 27vdc power supply, it was quite rugged but like all electronics after 30+ years they start to fail, get noisy, and cannot hold correct speed.

The solution to this whilst expensive, offers the Mk1/2 owner a substantial upgrade to their turntable! The replacement motor drive is essentially a Delphi Mk6 drive unit that is retrofitted to the Mk1/2 base plate and gives you all the benefits of the Mk6 drive system!

The Mk1/2 base plate requires quite a bit of machining in order to fit the new drive unit in neatly, we can do this for you in house, all you need to do is strip your table down and send your base plate (with motor and control panel still installed) in to Sonic Art. We will machine the base and fit the new motor drive, we also need to remove your control panel, strip all the electronics from it and rewire it to suit the new motor drive system. Your table will retain its original look and original control panel.

Cost to machine the baseplate and rewire your control panel is $300.00, around 5 hours required to do this job.
